Matt Best Music was created as a natural progression of a life devoted to music. Since 1995 Matt has dedicated his life to providing the highest quality services in repairs, private lessons, and performance. Matt played saxophone in school bands starting in 5th grade and by age 19 was studying music in college, playing professionally as a woodwind doubler, apprenticing in a music store as a band instrument repair technician, and began teaching his first private students. And so began the journey of a life filled with music that would literally take him around the world.
As a musician, Matt has traveled to 50 countries on 6 continents as Musical Director and reed player for a major cruise line while playing virtually every style of pop music spanning 50+ years. He studied jazz performance at the renowned University of North Texas and has played with groups on land ranging from polka to swing to full symphony orchestras on a variety of woodwinds.
